From the sonar blips of pong to the mono gunshots of Gunfight, video game has evolved significantly in the last 30 years. Pac Man Fever lodged the sound of the game into everyone's consciousness. Even Michael Jackson got into the action with Moonwalker. Then came Wipeout XL, featuring the songs of Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Vice City contained so much music that they each released multi-CD box sets featuring tunes from the games. But not every game releases a CD soundtrack, and those that do don't contain all of the songs, as you can see below. |
